Overview of Solution Focused Education

At Solution Focused Education we're dedicated to promoting authentic Solution Focused Practice wherever it can add to the resources available to people supporting others in need. Solutions Focused Practice has proven itself internationally as a practical way to enable rapid movement towards what we all hope for when we meet a problem, namely the solutions strengthening and the problem fading away.

We’re pleased to offer our SFE CPD programme to schools and to social care services, where our dynamic approach enables staff to develop the mindset and skills needed to support chldren, young people and adults facing complex challenges in their lives

At Solution Focused Education we base all our services on robust evidence from neuroscience, implementation science and therapeutic practice to offer you this groundbreaking approach in your context.

I trained as a secondary Science and Special Needs teacher after 13 years working on basic skills with adults with intellectual disabilities and as an outdoor educator. From 1995 to 1998 I taught at a residential Special School for children with emotional and behaviour difficulties. From 1998 to 2013 I was a Specialist Behaviour Teacher with a Local Authority Educational Psychology Service. I completed my MA in 1998 and PhD in 2006. Since 2001 I’ve been delivering Solution Focused Coaching in schools, residential and mental health services with a Local Authority (1998-2013) and subsequently as an independent consultant, trainer and SF Coach.
